SPEAKER

Marlon Bray
EVP Clark Construction Management

Marlon Bray is Executive Vice President at Clark Construction Management and a chartered quantity surveyor with nearly 30 years of experience in the construction and development sector. Over the course of his career, Marlon has built deep expertise across cost consulting, pricing strategy, budgeting, and large-scale project delivery.

Having recently transitioned from cost consulting into a hands-on construction management role, Marlon brings a rare, end-to-end perspective on how projects are priced, planned, and ultimately built. His work spans market analysis through execution, allowing him to connect economic signals with real-world outcomes on the ground.

Widely regarded as a candid and thoughtful industry voice, Marlon challenges the notion that falling construction costs signal good news. As he often notes, today’s price reductions reflect deeper structural challenges: slowing activity, the loss of skilled trades, and widespread market hesitation. While costs may appear to ease in the short term, the longer-term impact is a weakened development ecosystem and reduced capacity that will shape the industry for years to come.
